Our work
Where children and animals are being exploited, neglected or abused, we protect them from harm. We won’t stand for it – and neither will our supporters.

In Australia and around the world, we give a powerful voice to children and champion their rights

Our vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development, and participation.
Children deserve the chance to take on the world. They deserve an education, a healthy start in life and the chance to go further than they ever dreamed possible. Children are the heroes of our story and we’ll back them every time.

Save the Children helps children and families in 116 countries around the world.

Save the Children Australia manages and implements programs that support children in 21 countries around the world. We directly deliver programs in the Pacific region and support children and families in our own community, running programs in more than 197 communities and locations across Australia.

Producing resources that get people talking about issues affecting children.

From topics about the importance of breastfeeding, to heart-wrenching stories from children who’ve fled conflict in Syria; we regularly produce reports based on our work in health, education, child protection and humanitarian crises.

Working for reform to alleviate animal suffering and help make the world a kinder place for animals.

Paps has extensive rescue, rehabilitation, foster and adoption programs for dogs and cats. We rescue animals and provide the best medical care available for them. When our rescued dogs are ready to leave hospital we transfer them into rehabilitation, often for months. We find wonderful loving families to adopt them as family members.
Rescued wildlife are taken for specialist medical treatment and when possible, released back into the wild to join their waiting families. Our team work globally, rescuing domestic pets and wildlife, large and small.
